From Recipes to Shopping Lists

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

Shopping lists are available directly from your mobile phone using onetsp.mobi. Last week, One tsp. marked its one year anniversary. I’ve been working hard to add new features over the last few months, and for the first anniversary I’m happy to announce that you can now turn your online recipes into shopping lists!

This is the coolest feature yet. I used to think that being able to pull up recipes on my iPhone while in the grocery store was handy. But now, you can add as many recipes as you want to your shopping list and then check off each item on your phone as you find it in the store.

You can also add any other items to your shopping list, even if they have nothing to do with cooking at all.

What I’m trying to say is shopping lists totally rock! Sign up today and try them out.

One tsp.’s mobile interface works on just about any smartphone, but is super handy on iPhone’s and the Palm Pre. If you’re using One tsp. on another mobile phone, tell me about it.

Manage Recipes on the Palm Pre

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

Yesterday I got some screen shots of One tsp. running on a Palm Pre. The recipe manager is available for mobile phones at onetsp.mobi and it turns out that the Pre renders the web app just fine. I’m serving the same interface to Pre users that I serve to iPhones. Both are based on the webkit browser so it makes sense that they would be compatible.

For users new to One tsp., the app runs in the web browser and registering for an account is free. This is better than recipe software that you would install on your phone because you can also access and manage your recipes from your desktop computer or anywhere else you have access to a web browser.

Thanks for the screen shots, Anthony!

Share Your Recipes Online

Monday, February 16th, 2009

One tsp. has a new recipe sharing feature that I added this weekend. Now you can share your recipes with friends and family by email. When you’re logged into your account, view one of your recipes and look for the “email to a friend” link on the right-hand side of the page.

When your friend receives your recipe by email, they will have the opportunity to copy the recipe directly into their One tsp. account… instantly. No typing! Give it a shot today. Send one of your favorite recipes to a friend.

Not familiar with One tsp.? What are you waiting for? It’s one of the coolest recipe organizers around, allowing you to store all of your recipes online so you can view them from anywhere you have access to a computer… at home, at work, or even in the grocery store from your mobile phone using our great mobile recipe website.
